Outside Sales Representative, Account Executive, New Business Development Account Executive

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the development of new business through a consultative, solution-based approach. Responsible to establish and maintain profitable business-to-business relationships on behalf of the company. Actively prospect for new accounts through cold calling, online, email campaign activities and by engaging in outside sales activities including visiting businesses, attending networking events, and connecting with key groups as defined by the center owner as a strategic component of the overall center sales development plan. Effectively closes sales in a professional manner to meet and exceed quotas and increase the Company’s overall profitability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospects new customers, develops new business, targets key prospects
  • Conducts needs-based consultative meetings with prospects and existing accounts with appropriate decision-makers
  • Presents products and services of the company that conveys quality, integrity, and a superior understanding and fulfillment of client’s needs
  • Develops solution-based presentations and presents them to clients
  • Continuously serves existing clients with current orders and introduces additional products and services
  • Engages in lead management and appointment setting on a daily basis, follows up on all leads and quotes
  • Articulates print, print capabilities within the organization, conveys information to client
  • Provides order follow through and communication with client
  • Serves as a liaison between production and client
  • Seeks to understand and learn new and effective consultative sales techniques, participates in trainings
  • Complies with consultative sales philosophy and all sales programs in place
  • Plans and develops an annual sales and marketing strategy in conjunction with management/sales support specialist to identify joint marketing opportunities
  • Retains and grows existing account base, cross-selling additional services
  • Prepares and presents marketing plans and proposals
  • Meets and/or exceed sales goals on a regular basis
  • Remains current on industry trends and new technologies through key trade magazines and print related resources
  • Communicates effectively and engages with management, marketing, production and customer service teams to provide information and pertinent updates to ensure client’s needs are met
  • Adheres to systems, policies and procedures as outlined
  • Serves as a support to operations
  • Attends trainings as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years successful business-to-business sales experience
  • Knowledge of sign industry, print industry, substrates, media, products and services
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Detailed and meticulous in the ability to convey needs to meet clients vision
  • Independently motivated to accomplish and meet goals
  • Effective team member, serving for the greater good
  • Clean driving record with dependable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Expertise in Internet searches
  • Ability to build professional relationships with diverse customer/prospect base

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Comprehensive knowledge of print, color, design and printing quality.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend correspondence, instructions, requests and abstract concepts to assist client with needs. Ability to professionally respond verbally and in written correspondence. Ability to professionally articulate solutions, effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups situations to clients and decision-makers and within the organization with coworkers, production team, and management.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, estimates, ratios, percentages, and to interpret data.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and less defined written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a variety of variables and to find reasonable solutions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Independent travel is required.
