Brittany wears the title Graphics Pre-Press Manager here at Allegra, but her secret power is creating and installing Display Graphics for our clients!
“I spend around 75% of my day either quoting display graphics projects, researching and designing new artwork, fabricating new signs/banners/vinyl graphics or acquiring sign permits, and installing projects.”
As our resident expert, Brittany has nearly eight years of hands-on experience creating posters, indoor and outdoor signs, banners, and vinyl wall, window, and floor graphics. When asked, “How would you describe what you do for our clients? Brittany explains:
“I help our clients increase their brand awareness and reach out to new prospects through engaging signage. Allegra also offers installation and acquiring permits for new signs if needed, which can save the client lots of time and research. I’m really here to help our clients expand their horizons and keep growing!
Brittany takes her position seriously and stays up-to-date on the newest materials and applications available in the Display Graphics industry;
“I’m honestly a huge fan of the textured laminate we provide. It can be used in a variety of applications. My favorite use for this is countertops. There’s so much real estate in countertop space that most people don’t consider using. We adhere the textured laminate to vinyl and apply it straight to the countertop. The graphic stays bright and protected, and the textured laminate allows for easy cleanup without damage to the ink below. This can also be used on floors as it is slip-resistant! There are so many options!”
She also subscribes to industry publications and looks for new advertising ideas and creative installations. Brittany has been challenged in the past to develop custom signage, such as parking garage pole wraps, and works to perfect her installation skills through continued hands-on training using new materials and techniques. Clients who reach out to Brittany with an idea, no matter how great or small, will be guided through the design, creation, and installation process:
- Listening first — understanding what the client ultimately wants to achieve with their display piece
— i.e., brand awareness, more foot traffic, lead generation, providing directional assistance, standing out at
an industry event, or enlightening the senses in brand space with texture and visual appeal!
- Reviewing best materials for the job – indoor or outdoor – exploring the “Wall, Windows, and Floors”
sample kit so clients can touch and feel materials and fully understand the options that will fit their needs and budget.
- Analyze and photograph the display space so custom designs can be created.
- Quote, Design, Create, and Install: Communicating with clients throughout the entire process so the final product is as expected.
Brittany loves that she is local and able to provide personal, custom, on-site services to Grand Rapids businesses and the surrounding West Michigan communities.
